Bernie Byers

President

Bernie has served as President/CEO of DHS since the company’s founding in 1986. He has extensive sales and sales management experience in medical equipment and medical imaging. Bernie is also a successful business developer in both pre and post IPO environments and an experienced P&L manager.

Brock Byers

Vice President of Sales & Marketing

Brock joined DHS in 1993 selling orthopedic spine tables and positioning devices for OSI. In 1994 he sold the first OEC Mini C-arm in the United States and successfully jump started the product’s success in the SouthEast. Brock transitioned to the full OEC product line in 1996. After several changing sales territories with coverage in DC, VA, N.C., & S.C.; Brock’s experience is now behind managing sales and marketing for the entire DHS territory. In addition to his management responsibilities, he sells and supports customers in Central and Eastern North Carolina, NorthEast South Carolina, and SouthEast Virginia for the Ziehm Imaging and DHS product lines. Brock holds a degree from East Carolina University and his experience spans over 16 years in medical capital equipment and surgical sales.

Mason Byers

Vice President of Operations

Mason currently manages the day-to-day operations of DHS. He joined DHS in September 1997 as a Mini C-arm specialist and successfully grew OEC market share in DC, VA, N.C. & S.C. From 2001 to 2005, Mason represented the full GE surgery based product line, which included C-arms and fixed Urology suites, in S.W. Virginia, Central N.C., & Central S.C. Mason left sales in 2005 to focus his attention on DHS operations in relationship to the company’s rapid growth. Mason holds a degree in Business Management from North Carolina State University.

Shannon Byers

H.R. & Finance Director

Shannon joined DHS in 2010 to manage the day-to-day finance and human resource operations. Her background includes eleven years of management consulting, human resource, and project management experience in both the private and public sectors. Shannon holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics from Meredith College and a Master of Public Administration degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
